Eric Lefkofsky, CEO

Eric Lefkofsky is the current CEO of Groupon as well as one of its co-founders. Eric Lefkofsky had previously served as Groupon’s Executive Chairman until he was appointed as CEO of the company. Aside from Groupon, Eric Lefkofsky is also a co-founder of Echo Global Logistics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ECHO), a co-founder of InnerWorkings, Inc. (NASDAQ: INWK), a co-founder of Lightbank, LLC, and a co-founder of Uptake, LLC. Eric Lefkofsky also co-founded MediaBank, LLC which merged with Donovan Data Systems to form Mediaocean in 2013. Eric Lefkofsky serves on the board of many organizations and foundations including the board of directors of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Memorial Hospital, board of trustees of the Art Institute of Chicago, the board of trustees of the Museum of Science and Industry, and the board of trustees of the Steppenwolf Theatre. Eric Lefkofsky also teaches at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business as an Adjunct Professor. Eric Lefkofsky graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree and also received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Eric Lefkofsky is also author of the book Accelerated Disruption: Understanding the True Speed of Innovation, where he explores how disruptive businesses are formed, grown and sustained.

Dane Drobny, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Dane has been Groupon's General Counsel since July 2014.  Prior to joining Groupon, Dane was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Sears Holdings Corporation. Previously, he was a partner at the international law firm of Winston & Strawn.  Dane has a B.A. degree from Colgate University and earned a J.D. from Washington University School of Law.    

Jason Harinstein, SVP of Corporate Development
Jason has been Groupon's Senior Vice President of Corporate Development since March 2011. Before coming to Groupon, Jason worked in Corporate Development at Google, where he led the DoubleClick acquisition. Jason received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Northwestern University and his MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
Brian Kayman, Interim Chief Financial Officer

Brian has served as the Company’s Vice President, Tax since May 2012 and Treasurer since April 2013. He previously served as an active principal at Miller Cooper & Co., Ltd. from 2004 to 2012, a partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP from  2002 to  2004 and spent approximately 14 years as a C.P.A. at Arthur Andersen, most recently as a partner.

Sri Viswanath, SVP of Engineering and Operations

Sri Viswanath has been Groupon's Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations since April 2013.  Prior to joining Groupon, he was at VMWare, where he served as VP of research and development for mobile computing. Prior to VMWare, he was SVP of Engineering at Glam Media and general manager of its publisher products group. He was also the SVP of Engineering at Ning, Inc., and was instrumental in that company’s acquisition by Glam. Before that, he worked at Sun Microsystems where he led development of a number of very successful open-source and business-to-business products.  Sri received his Bachelors from Bangalore University in India, his Masters in Computer Science from Clemson, and Masters in Management from Stanford.

Rich Williams, Chief Operating Officer

Rich Williams serves as Chief Operating Officer for Groupon, a position he earned in June 2015. He also serves as President of North America, a position he's held since October 2014. He was previously Groupon's SVP of Marketing. He joined the company in June 2011 with nearly 20 years of experience. Throughout his career, Rich has overseen some of the largest online marketing programs in the world, including the analytics and technology that power them. Immediately prior to joining Groupon, he ran Worldwide Marketing and Advertising at Amazon. While at Amazon, Rich split his time between building scalable software to manage Amazon’s global automated advertising programs and coming up with TV ads for the Amazon Kindle (among other things). Prior to joining Amazon, Rich spent nearly 7 years developing marketing programs and technologies in a variety of leadership roles at Experian, including running marketing for Experian’s Interactive companies and launching Experian’s Real Time Marketing platform in its Marketing Services division. Before his time at Experian, Rich mostly walked the Earth like Caine from Kung Fu, earning room and board in exchange for working odd jobs in marketing, advertising and creative. Rich spends much of his spare time with his wife and daughter, often getting his hands dirty in the small winery they own together.
