Mr. Lefkofsky, 43, currently holds the Office of the CEO with Ted Leonsis, and is a co-founder of the Company. He has served as the Company’s Executive Chairman since its inception. Mr. Lefkofsky is a co-founder of Echo Global Logistics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ECHO) and served on its board of directors from February 2005 to December 2012. Mr. Lefkofsky is the co-founder of InnerWorkings, Inc. (NASDAQ: INWK) and served on its board of directors from August 2008 to October 2012. In 2008, Mr. Lefkofsky co-founded Lightbank LLC, a private investment firm specializing in information technology companies, and has served as a manager since that time. In April 2006, Mr. Lefkofsky cofounded MediaBank, LLC, an electronic exchange and database that automates the procurement and administration of advertising media, and has served as a director or manager since that time. Mr. Lefkofsky also serves on the board of directors of Children’s Memorial Hospital, the board of trustees of the Steppenwolf Theatre, the board of trustees of the Art Institute of Chicago and the board of trustees of the Museum of Science and Industry. Mr. Lefkofsky also serves on the board of directors of World Business Chicago. Mr. Lefkofsky is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Mr. Lefkofsky holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
Mr. Leonsis, 57, currently hold the Office of the CEO with Eric Lefkofsky and has served on the Company’s Board since June 2009, serving as Vice Chairman since April 2011. Since 1999, Mr. Leonsis has served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, LLC, a sports and entertainment company that owns the NBA’s Washington Wizards, the NHL’s Washington Capitals, the WNBA’s Washington Mystics, the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. and the Baltimore-Washington Ticketmaster franchise. Mr. Leonsis also has served as a Vice Chairman Emeritus of AOL LLC, a leading global Web company, since December 2006. Mr. Leonsis held a number of other executive positions with AOL from September 1994 to December 2006, most recently as Vice Chairman and President, AOL Audience Business. Mr. Leonsis co-founded Revolution Growth Fund II, a private investment firm, and has served as a partner of the fund since that time. Mr. Leonsis has served as a director of American Express Co. (NYSE: AXP) since July 2010, a director of Rosetta Stone Ltd. (NYSE: RST) since December 2009 and was a director of NutriSystem, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRI) from December 2008 through June 2012. Mr. Leonsis also serves on the board of directors of several private internet and technology companies.
Jason joined Groupon as Chief Financial Officer in December 2010. Before Groupon, Jason held a number of senior positions at Amazon.com including CFO and VP of Finance, International. Prior to joining Amazon.com, Mr. Child spent more than seven years as a C.P.A. and a consulting manager at Arthur Andersen. He has lived and worked in Munich, Tokyo, and Seattle. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.
Kal joined the Company in May 2012 as our SVP, Americas, and was appointed as SVP, Global Sales and Operations in August 2012. Prior to joining Groupon, Kal worked for Ebay as VP Global Fulfillment, and served as CEO of Global Scholar. Earlier in his career, he also served as CEO of Drugstore.com and as an executive at Amazon.com, Inc.
Jason has been Groupon's Senior Vice President of Corporate Development since March 2011. Before coming to Groupon, Jason worked in Corporate Development at Google, where he led the DoubleClick acquisition. Jason received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Northwestern University and his MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
Jeff has been Senior Vice President of Product Management since April 2011 and is driven by a highly-caffeinated desire to discover new ways for people to have great experiences using Groupon. Prior to joining Groupon, Jeff was the CEO and co-founder of Pelago, whose flagship product, Whrrl, was designed to help people get out of a social rut and discover new things in their cities. Jeff also spent more than eight years at Amazon.com, where he was Senior Vice President of Consumer Websites, Worldwide. Jeff received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
David has been Groupon's General Counsel since June 2011. Prior to Groupon, David worked at Salesforce.com as the EVP of Legal. David received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and his JD from Cornell Law School.
Skip has been Groupon's Head of Global Human Resources since June 2011. Skip has worked for a variety of companies including Microsoft, Cisco, and PepsiCo. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business and English from Hope College and his MBA from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University.
Sri Viswanath has been Groupon's Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations since April 2013. Prior to joining Groupon, he was at VMWare, where he served as VP of research and development for mobile computing. Prior to VMWare, he was SVP of Engineering at Glam Media and general manager of its publisher products group. He was also the SVP of Engineering at Ning, Inc., and was instrumental in that company’s acquisition by Glam. Before that, he worked at Sun Microsystems where he led development of a number of very successful open-source and business-to-business products. Sri received his Bachelors from Bangalore University in India, his Masters in Computer Science from Clemson, and Masters in Management from Stanford.
Rich Williams has been Groupon’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing since June 2011. Immediately prior to joining Groupon, he ran Worldwide Marketing and Advertising at Amazon, and before that spent nearly seven years developing marketing programs and technologies in a variety of leadership roles at Experian. Rich received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Southern California.
