- Eric Lefkofsky , Chairman
Mr. Lefkofsky is Chairman and co-founder of Groupon. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Groupon and was the Company’s Executive Chairman until his appointment as CEO. Mr. Lefkofsky is co-founder and CEO at Tempus, a technology company that has built an operating system to battle cancer. He is co-founder of Lightbank, a venture fund investing in disruptive technology businesses. He is the co-founder of Uptake Technologies, a leading predictive analytics platform for the world’s largest industries; Mediaocean, a leading provider of integrated media procurement technology; Echo Global Logistics (NASDAQ: ECHO), a technology-enabled transportation and logistics outsourcing firm; and InnerWorkings (NASDAQ: INWK), a global provider of managed print and promotional solutions. Mr. Lefkofsky co-chairs the Lefkofsky Family Foundation with his wife Liz to advance high-impact initiatives that enhance lives in the communities served. He serves as a Trustee of Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Museum of Science and Industry and World Business Chicago. He is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Mr. Lefkofsky is an adjunct professor at the University of Chicago and author of Accelerated Disruption: Understanding the True Speed of Innovation. He graduated from the University of Michigan and received his Juris Doctor at University of Michigan Law School.
- Rich Williams , CEO
Rich Williams serves as Chief Executive Officer for Groupon, a position he earned in November 2015. He served as Chief Operating Officer, a position he held since June 2015. He joined the company in June 2011 with nearly 20 years of experience. Throughout his career, Rich has overseen some of the largest online marketing programs in the world, including the analytics and technology that power them. Immediately prior to joining Groupon, he ran Worldwide Marketing and Advertising at Amazon. While at Amazon, Rich split his time between building scalable software to manage Amazon's global automated advertising programs and coming up with TV ads for the Amazon Kindle (among other things). Prior to joining Amazon, Rich spent nearly 7 years developing marketing programs and technologies in a variety of leadership roles at Experian, including running marketing for Experian's Interactive companies and launching Experian's Real Time Marketing platform in its Marketing Services division. Before his time at Experian, Rich mostly walked the Earth like Caine from Kung Fu, earning room and board in exchange for working odd jobs in marketing, advertising and creative. Rich spends much of his spare time with his wife and daughter, often getting his hands dirty in the small winery they own together.
- Michael Angelakis , Director
Michael Angelakis is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Atairos. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to the Executive Management Committee of Comcast Corporation. Prior to founding Atairos, he served as Comcast’s Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer. In those roles, Mr. Angelakis was responsible for many strategic, financial, administrative and other areas within the Corporation. During his tenure at Comcast, Mr. Angelakis was recognized by Institutional Investor magazine as one of “America’s Best Chief Financial Officers” six out of eight years. Prior to joining Comcast, Mr. Angelakis served as a Managing Director and a member of the Management and Investment Committees of Providence Equity Partners, one of the leading private equity firms investing in technology, media and communications companies around the world. Before joining Providence, Mr. Angelakis was Chief Executive Officer of State Cable TV Corporation and Aurora Telecommunications. He also served as Vice President at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in New York, where he oversaw one of the bank’s media and communications portfolios. Additionally, Mr. Angelakis spent several years in London developing Manufacturers Hanover’s acquisition finance and merchant banking activities throughout Western Europe.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Bowlero Corporation, Groupon Corporation, Hewlett Packard Enterprises, Learfield Communications, The Orogen Group, and TriNet Group. Previously, Mr. Angelakis was the Chairman of the Board for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, a member of the Board of Directors of Duke Energy and a trustee of Babson College.
Mr. Angelakis is a graduate of Babson College and the Owner/President Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
- Robert Bass , Director
Robert Bass served as a vice chairman of Deloitte LLP from 2006 through June 2012, and was a partner in Deloitte from 1982 through June 2012. Mr. Bass specializes in e-commerce, mergers and acquisitions and SEC filings. At Deloitte, Mr. Bass was responsible for all services provided to Forstmann Little and its portfolio companies and is the advisory partner for Blackstone, DIRECTV, McKesson, IMG and CSC. He has also previously been the advisory partner for priceline.com, RR Donnelley, Automatic Data Processing, Community Health Systems and Avis Budget. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York and Connecticut State Societies of Certified Public Accountants.
- Peter Barris , Director
Peter joined New Enterprise Associates (NEA) in 1992 and has served as Managing General Partner since 1999. Since joining NEA, Peter has led investments in over 20 information technology companies that have completed public offerings or successful mergers. These include such industry pioneering companies as Amisys, CareerBuilder, InnerWorkings, Neutral Tandem, UUNET, and Vonage. Prior to joining NEA, Peter was President and Chief Operating Officer of Legent Corporation (LGNT) and Senior Vice President of the Systems Software Division of UCCEL Corporation (UCE). Both companies were ultimately acquired at valuations that were record breaking for their time. Earlier, Peter spent almost a decade at General Electric Company in a variety of management positions, including Vice President and General Manager at GE Information Services. Outside interests include serving on the Northwestern University Board of Trustees, the Dartmouth Tuck School Board of Overseers. Peter previously served on the Executive Committee of the Board of the National Venture Capital Association and was also a founding member of Venture Philanthropy Partners, a philanthropic organization in the Washington D.C. area. He has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern and an MBA from Dartmouth.
- Ted Leonsis , Lead Independent Director
Mr. Leonsis, 57, was elected Chairman of the Board in August of 2013 and has served on the company’s board since June 2009. Since 1999, Mr. Leonsis has served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, LLC, a sports and entertainment company that owns the NBA’s Washington Wizards, the NHL’s Washington Capitals, the WNBA’s Washington Mystics, the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Mr. Leonsis also has served as a Vice Chairman Emeritus of AOL LLC, a leading global Web company, since December 2006. Mr. Leonsis held a number of other executive positions with AOL from September 1994 to December 2006, most recently as Vice Chairman and President, AOL Audience Business. Mr. Leonsis co-founded Revolution Growth Fund II, a private investment firm, and has served as a partner of the fund since that time. Mr. Leonsis has served as a director of American Express Co. (NYSE: AXP) since July 2010, a director of Rosetta Stone Ltd. (NYSE: RST) since December 2009 and was a director of NutriSystem, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRI) from December 2008 through June 2012. Mr. Leonsis also serves on the board of directors of several private internet and technology companies.
- Joey Levin , Director
Joey Levin is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IAC (NASDAQ: IAC). Appointed to the position in June 2015, Mr. Levin is responsible for the strategic leadership of IAC and its operating businesses. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of IAC. Prior to this, Joey Levin was the CEO of IAC Search & Applications, overseeing the desktop software, mobile applications, and media properties that comprise IAC’s Search & Applications segment: About.com, Apalon, Ask.com, ASKfm, Citysearch, CityGrid, Dictionary.com, Investopedia, Mindspark, PriceRunner, and SlimWare. In this role he was responsible for setting overall strategy and maximizing opportunities across IAC’s Search and Applications brands. He was previously CEO of Mindspark Interactive Network, a consumer software company that builds, markets and delivers a wide range of consumer software products including brands such as Television Fanatic, Retrogamer, and Coupon Alert. Prior to his appointment at Mindspark in November 2009, Mr. Levin served as Senior Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions and Finance for IAC, and has held various roles within IAC since joining the company in 2003. Prior to joining IAC, Mr. Levin worked in the Technology Mergers & Acquisitions group for Credit Suisse First Boston (now Credit Suisse) in San Francisco advising public and private technology and e-commerce companies on a variety of transactions.
Mr. Levin serves on the Board of Directors of Match Group and Groupon. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Tree.com (NASDAQ: TREE) from August 2008 until November 2014, and served on the Board of Directors of The Active Network (NYSE: ACTV) from February 2008 through its IPO and up until its sale to Vista Equity Partners for $1 billion in December 2013. He graduated from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School and a B.A.S. in Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Mr. Levin also currently serves on the Undergraduate Executive Board of Wharton School.
- Deborah Wahl , Director
Deborah Wahl served as the Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald’s Corporation from March 2014 until May 2017. Prior to joining McDonald’s, Ms. Wahl served as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for the PulteGroup, one of the country’s largest homebuilders, from August 2009 until February 2014 and also held a number of senior roles at Ford, Toyota and Chrysler. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College and an M.B.A in Marketing and an M.S. in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
- Ann Ziegler , Director
Ann E. Ziegler is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CDW, Inc., a leading provider of technology solutions for business, government, education and healthcare, and a Fortune 500 company. She joined CDW in 2008. Prior to joining CDW, Ms. Ziegler held a number of executive positions with Sara Lee, including finance, strategy and general management roles in both United States and international businesses. She holds a B.S. in economics from the College of William and Mary and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. She also serves on the board of directors of Hanesbrands, Inc.
